Our sleep center team is conducting research projects with a focus on:

Ohio Pediatric Asthma Repository (OPAR): A consortium of 6 Children’s hospitals in Ohio, enrolled asthmatic children (aged 2 to 17) hospitalized from 2012 to 2017 to build a comprehensive statewide asthma repository. The repository of close to 3500 patients has questionnaire assessment of sleep problems. Dr. Kalra serves as the Dayton site PI for this repository which is supported by a $1 million grant from the State of Ohio.

The sleep center is also involved with NIH-funded study on using mobile sensors and smart phone apps to improve disease management. Dr. Kalra serves as the Dayton site PI for this study which is supported by a $1 million grant from the NIH.
