Objectives:

  1. Review pelvic floor muscle anatomy, functions, and dysfunctions.
  2. Discuss the definition, pathophysiology, and criteria for diagnosis of functional constipation in children.
  3. Explain the relationship between pelvic floor dysfunction and functional constipation in kids.
  4. Recognize pelvic floor physical therapy evaluation and treatment techniques used to treat children with functional constipation.
