Objectives:

  1. Recognize normal and abnormal sleep in children and how sleep changes with age.
  2. Cite how to make the diagnosis of insomnia.
  3. Contrast the different treatment strategies for insomnia.
  4. Discuss the role of medications in insomnia management.
