Dayton Children’s launches online special needs resource center

Parents of children with special needs now have a new local resource to help navigate the challenges that they may face.

Dayton Children’s Hospital recently launched an online Special Needs Resource Center as part of their consumer-focused website. The new online directory has hundreds of resources within Dayton Children’s 20-county service area including information for local support groups, summer camps, local, state and national organizations, educational resources, financial information, legal resources and much more.

“Caring for a child with ongoing health needs can be a challenge,” says Eileen Kasten, MD, medical director of the developmental pediatrics department at Dayton Children’s.  “We want to ensure families of children with special health care needs have the resources they need to make their journey a little easier.”
