about us
Our Adolescent Young Adult Medicine specialists are board certified in treating the medical, social, and emotional concerns faced by young people, ages 12 to 25 years. Doctors and nurses with specialty training in adolescent and young adult medicine are here to provide evaluation and treatment for reproductive health (birth control, family planning, sexual health), nonsurgical gynecologic and menstrual concerns, uncomplicated depression, anxiety, and dysthymia, and health care for transgender and gender non-conforming youth.
Your adolescent young adult specialists will work with youth and families to provide a safe environment for young people to develop the skills necessary to manage their own health care as they mature into adults.
Seeing an adolescent medicine specialist is a great way to transition from childhood — where your parents directed your health care — to adulthood, where you manage your own health and well-being.
