The Center for Health Equity Community Advisory Board (CAB) is a group of engaged and diverse community stakeholders who help to inform the Center’s work and create comprehensive measures to address health inequities within the 20-county service area. The CAB has meaningful discussions about improving health outcomes that are important to the community, provides input to the Center’s programming, and suggests interventions to address social and environmental determinants of health.

The purpose of the Center for Health Equity Community Advisory Board is to:

What: CAB meetings will be a space for community stakeholders to engage in topics that focus on improving healthcare and health equity by providing feedback, suggestions, and ideas to guide the Center in creating pathways for every person in the community to have the opportunity to attain his or her full health potential. Additionally, CAB members' participation may require additional time and effort through focus groups that may be formed based on the Community Advisory Board's needs, goals, and objectives.

When: The Center for Health Equity Community Advisory Board will meet for an hour and a half, once every other month. Meetings will be held on the second Wednesday of the month from 6-7:30pm.

Where: The Center for Health Equity Community Advisory Board will meet at the Connor Child Health Pavilion – Dayton Children Hospital located at 1010 Valley Street or virtually via Microsoft Teams when necessary.
