Objectives:

  1. Identify the primary pulmonary manifestations of neuromuscular disease.
  2. Explain the genetics and clinical manifestations for both Duchene Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) and Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).
  3. Apply the consensus statements to the care of patients with neuromuscular disease.
  4. Recognize the current use of approved treatments for DMD and SMA.
