Objectives:
- Review appropriate medical care for a pregnant patient who has HIV.
- List the basic tenets of managing antiretroviral therapy in a pregnant woman with HIV.
- Discuss proper care of the HIV exposed infant with regard to antiretroviral medication and medical follow-up.
