Objectives:

  1. Differentiate between the normal and abnormal gait patterns.
  2. Distinguish between septic arthritis and toxic synovitis of the hip
  3. Recognize orthopedic emergencies and diagnosing of common overuse injuries in children.
  4. Formulate a differential diagnosis of the limping child based on the patient’s age.
