Ezra J. Hartke Race for Hope

Ezra loved trains, cars, superheroes, and all things “boy.” In August of 2017 at the age of 3, Ezra was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. After a year of living life and fighting the disease, Ezra unfortunately lost his battle in September of 2018 at the very young age of 4. During his illness, Ezra and his family were humbled by the caregivers and all of the support they received from so many people. There were many significant comforts provided to Ezra during this time including the wonderful doctors and nurses at Dayton Children’s Hospital. As so much support was provided during Ezra’s illness, the family wants to honor Ezra’s legacy by raising money in support of childhood cancer research and care.
Registrations available:
- 5K walk - $20 (not timed)
- 5K run - $25 (timed)
- 10K run - $25 (timed)
- Virtual 5K - $20
- Optional Shirts - $12. Optional Team Ezra Wristbands - $5
- Day of registration: +$5 (shirts first come, first served)
- Age 5 and under no fee, no shirt
- Ages 6 – 18 (under 19): $5 discount
