get to know me

I chose my specialty because...

I began my career with Dayton Children’s in the NICU where I regularly interacted with the pediatric surgeons and their patients. Many years later I was presented with the opportunity to join the surgeons as their first ever nurse practitioner. I eagerly accepted the challenge. Over time the NP role has evolved to better serve our surgical patients and families.

I chose to work at Dayton Children's because...

the organization’s mission is to improve the health status of all children and be the first choice for children’s health. Excellent pediatric care is at the center of all that is done at Dayton Children’s.

Dayton Children's is special because...

we are a big enough facility to offer a vast number of pediatric specialty services. However, we are not so big that we lose sight of the individual patient and the patient’s family.

Dr. Soltice and his team was very caring and professional.

Competent surgeon. Not impressed that we elected to stay the night and he kept her on fluid only diet while he went to surgery the next day without lifting the restriction. She could have eaten if we would have gone home. She had not eaten in 3 days except 1 piece of toast and was having hunger pain. Thankful for the nursing staff that helped get her food since the provider did not check on patients before starting surgeries the next day.

He very kind. She was very gentle. She talked to my daughter through the whole doctor visit she listened to what she had. She comforted her in every way that you could and she made her feel very comfortable and she also made me feel very comfortable. I really appreciate that she was very good doctor. I absolutely appreciate her.
