get to know me

I chose my specialty because...

I began my career with Dayton Children’s in the NICU where I regularly interacted with the pediatric surgeons and their patients. Many years later I was presented with the opportunity to join the surgeons as their first ever nurse practitioner. I eagerly accepted the challenge. Over time the NP role has evolved to better serve our surgical patients and families.

I chose to work at Dayton Children's because...

the organization’s mission is to improve the health status of all children and be the first choice for children’s health. Excellent pediatric care is at the center of all that is done at Dayton Children’s.

Dayton Children's is special because...

we are a big enough facility to offer a vast number of pediatric specialty services. However, we are not so big that we lose sight of the individual patient and the patient’s family.

Linda was very helpful and resourceful. Excuse me. She let us know what it was that we needed to continue to do. Thank you very much.

Excellent!

Linda was very personable and she kept my son engaged in conversation to make him feel comfortable and safe while he was having his stitches removed and which kept his attention completely away from it. And I really appreciate it that

I am so appreciative of the professionals who consider the emotional aspect of the patient and family, as much as the issue (physical) being treated. This is true professionalism...understanding that not everyone assimilates information, their surroundings, and the situation, regarding his/her issue or trauma, in the same ways... and being sensitive, compassionate, and flexible toward that. Thank you.
