The Women’s Board will host its biennial black-tie event, cha | cha, on Saturday, March 2, 2019! The event will raise funding to Dayton Children's behavioral services program, which is in the process of dramatically transforming how the Dayton community sees and treats mental health in children and teens.
During our most recent Pediatric Community Health Needs Assessment, mental health was identified as a top health concern for children in our area. Last year, Dayton Children’s evaluated 969 children at risk of harming themselves or others. We are acutely aware of the need for a regional approach to caring for these high-risk children, and we are taking action to be a much-needed resource for families in crisis. In addition to building a regional behavioral crisis center adjacent to the hospital, Dayton Children’s plans to establish an inpatient mental health unit within the hospital that will include a dedicated specialty care team, safe care environment, child-friendly features, and connection to follow-up care.
Your gift helps make all this possible. Thank you for your compassion and generosity.
