TWIGs — Terrific Women in Giving — are groups of diverse individuals committed to providing support for a wide range of services at Dayton Children’s Hospital.

Along the way, lifelong friendships are forged among the members. The TWIGs have raised more than $11 million since 1965 to support patient care! The TWIG Auxiliary recently completed a $1.2 million pledge and has pledged to raise another $1 million to provide funding and increase services for pediatric mental health.

There are 225 members participating in 16 TWIG branches throughout the Miami Valley. Much like branches and leaves support trees, TWIG branches support Dayton Children’s through various fundraising projects, including auctions, luncheons, fashion shows, scrapbook weekends, mom’s sales and more!

The talents of all the members come together for Miami Valley’s annual premier events – the Gem City Jam Golf Outing, and the Sugarplum Festival of Trees.

TWIG members also may volunteer at Dayton Children’s directly with patients, or at special Twig-sponsored hospital events such as Secret Santa, Mother’s and Father’s Day crafts, family pizza parties, and making cinch sacks for use by EEG patients.

The key to success of the auxiliary lies in its members who are dedicated, innovative, and enthusiastic in their support of Dayton Children’s mission to always go “above and beyond” in the relentless pursuit of optimal health for every child within our reach.
