28th Children's Miracle Network Telethon Raises $2 Million

The 2010 Children's Miracle Network telethon, co-hosted by Cheryl McHenry, Mike Hartsock from WHIO-TV and K99.1FM's Nancy Wilson, raised a record $2,000,263 for Dayton Children's June 5-6. The telethon caps a yearlong effort to raise money for Dayton Children's and the funds will be used to purchase state-of-the-art medical technology and supplies for various patient areas, support the Needy Patient Fund and provide money for specific projects and programs at Dayton Children's. The 2010-2011 ambassadors were introduced and viewers could watch their stories as well as those from many other patients during the telethon. Dayton Children's extends our thanks to all of the Children's Miracle Network sponsors, local businesses, organizations, schools, events and individuals that raised money to generously support our mission of providing the best possible pediatric healthcare for children in the region.
