Partners in Care
Dayton Children’s is excited to offer you this resource for your patients. Coming to terms with a special needs diagnosis is difficult for parents. No matter where they are in the process, it seems they are always searching for local resources.
Our Online Resource Center helps you and your patients find the help they need from medical to financial and educational to respite and support services.
We understand that parents have several needs, including:
- An understanding of their child’s specific medical needs, including access to care, referrals to therapists and specialists and a way to coordinate that care
- Access to financial resources including options like Social Security, grants and other available options
- Ongoing support and access to respite and other care options to allow them to cope and provide the best care for their children
- Advice on advance planning for teens in transition, and advance life planning
Dayton Children’s Special Needs Online Resource Center is not just a list of resources. Where applicable, we have provided location and contact information organized by easy-to-search categories. We will continue to grow the list adding information as it becomes available. We encourage you to explore and feel free to add resources that are currently not included by emailing FRC@childrensdayton.org.
In addition to the resource center, we also offer the complete KidsHealth Library to help parents learn more about a specific condition. Information is given in easy-to-understand terms and in many cases available in Spanish as well as English.
We understand that you want to provide the best possible care to your patients. Dayton Children’s is here to help you do that.
