Dayton Children's relies on the generous support of our community to care for children of all ages, regardless of their family’s ability to pay. All donations, large and small, are put to good use at Dayton Children's. Many vital programs, services and state-of-the-art technologies are made possible through individual and community donations.  All contributions are tax deductible.

You can text a $10 donation using your cell phone. Send the message "KIDCare" to 50555.  Please remember to say yes to the confirmation text message you receive on your phone. Your $10 donation will appear on your next cell phone bill.

Giving from the office

Many companies will match donations for employees, their spouses or retirees. Complete your company's matching gift form and return it with your gift to Dayton Children's. Not sure if your company matches donations? Check the matching gift registry.

Companies may establish workplace giving campaigns using a payroll deduction. Dayton Children's can provide customized, co-branded campaign promotional materials and a customized website to make signing up simple for local and remote employees. For more details on establishing a workplace giving campaign, contact the development office at 937-641-3405 or send an email.

Special Occasions/Memorials

Celebrating a birthday or special occasion?  Remembering someone significant in your life? Gifts are gratefully accepted in honor or memory of someone special. Acknowledgement letters are sent to honorees or families without the gift amount listed. To mail in a gift, please use our tribute gift form or donate online now.

Arrangements may be made to make a special gift for a specific project or program. Outright gifts, multi-year pledges, stock transfers or property gifts are accepted. Call the development office at 937-641-3405 to speak with a development officer.

Planned Gifts

Donors are encouraged to consider gifts that have a lasting legacy for Dayton Children’s. There are many different estate gift options available. Contact Cate Berger, Planned Giving Officer at (937) 641-5962 with any questions or for assistance.  

United Way and Combined Federal Campaigns

You can designate your United Way gifts to "The Children's Medical Center of Dayton." The Combined Federal Campaign number is 19238.

Other Easy Ways to Help

Giving comes in many shapes and sizes and there are other easy ways to help. You may want to shop online, set up a checking account, participate in an in-kind gift drive or purchase an entertainment book.  Our Easy Ways to Help section offers a variety of ways you can support Dayton Children's in a way that is comfortable for you.

Upcoming Events

Free bike helmets will be given out as part of the Monroe Bike Rodeo this year.

The 1st Annual Logan X. Hess Stop Child Abuse Poker Run and Car Show will take place August 3. The ride begins at the Piqua American Legion and ends at Edison Community College. The car show will be at Edison Community College.

West Carrollton Police will be on hand to insure proper fit for all bike helmets.

Sample the distinctive flavors of the many cultures of Old North Dayton while enjoying entertainment, children's activities and a bicycle decoration competition for ages 9-16. All bike entries MUST be registered with the Dayton Police in advance at go.cityofdayton.org or at the Festival at 5:30 PM.

As part of the National Night Out, the Germantown Police Department will assist with the proper fitting of bicycle helmets for children without them.

A bike safety program will be part of the National Night Out Against Crime, with Trotwood Fore & Rescue personnel on hand to help insure proper fit of all bicycle helmets.
