Nurses at Dayton Children’s reflect the organization’s commitment to being the first choice for children’s health through our high quality care for the children and families we serve. Our mission is to improve the health status of children. One way of doing this is through the care given by the nurses. Nursing care not only focuses on making a child better, but by promoting safety, educating families and helping the overall well-being of the child.
Dayton Children’s nurses are specially trained to provide high quality care through formal education, national certifications and many years of experience. As of June 30, 2010, Dayton Children’s employs 584 nurses including 37 APNS, 532 RNs, 15 LPNs and 96 nationally certified nurses with over 5,900 years of experience.
The goal of excellence is at the core of nursing at Dayton Children’s. We have a strong commitment to provide compassion and caring to meet the needs of our patient families. We strive to be the best and want our parents believing we are ”just right" for their child.
