Suggested Wording for Bequests

Thank you for your consideration of including Dayton Children's in your gift plans. Your gift will provide future generations with expert pediatric medical care in their community. You may remain anonymous if you wish, but we prefer to recognize those who include us in their plans because that encourages others to do the same. The Annae Barney Gorman Society recognizes those friends who have remembered Dayton Children's Hospital in their estate plans or lifetime income arrangements and have notified us of their intentions. If you are willing to disclose the approximate value of your future gift, that greatly assists us in measuring the overall funding outlook for our services. Unless otherwise directed by the donor, bequests to Dayton Children's Hospital are included in the hospital’s endowment fund that is overseen by Dayton Children's Hospital Foundation board of trustees. The foundation board annually allocates a percentage of interest income to support projects and programs of the medical center.

“I give and bequeath to Dayton Children's Hospital, Ohio, ($ ______, or portion of estate, description of property, or the rest, residue and remainder of my estate) for its general purpose in supporting Dayton Children's Hospital, Ohio.”

Bequest for a Specific Purpose

“I give and bequeath to Dayton Children's Hospital, Ohio ($ ______, or portion of estate, description of property, or the rest, residue and remainder of my estate) to be used for ________________________________. If at anytime, the use of this bequest for the specific purpose intended is deemed impractical or unwise by Dayton Children's Hospital Board of Trustees, then all or any balance of this bequest not so expended may be used for any purpose approved by said Board of Trustees
