Located inside Dayton Children's Regional Pediatric Trauma and Emergency Center, the Communications Center is staffed by licensed pediatric medical professionals 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We are committed to providing prompt, accurate assistance so your patients receive thhe highest quality care possible.
Services provided through the Communications Center
Physician Connection
-Connecting referring physicians with specialists at Dayton Children's to confer about a patient.
-Service is available Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Emergency department (ED) referrals
-Specially trained medical professionals accepting referrals 24 hours a day, seven days a week
-Direct communication with emergency physicianss as needed
Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) referrals
-Direct communication with NICU staff as needed
Transport coordination (hospital to hospital)
Admission notification
Direct line to records requests for ED and urgent care visits
