pediatric pulmonologist

Dayton Children’s Hospital is recruiting for a seventh pulmonologist to join our pulmonary medicine department. Candidates must be board certified/board eligible in pediatric pulmonary medicine and must be licensed/licensable to practice in Ohio. Leadership and research opportunities are available.

The area’s regional cystic fibrosis center, accredited by the National Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, is located at Dayton Children’s. Our staff is experienced in diagnosing and treating sleep apnea and other pediatric sleep disorders as well as the usual variety of pediatric pulmonary disorders. The department of pulmonary medicine also provides pulmonary rehabilitation and manages the care of children requiring home ventilators and infants requiring home apnea monitoring.

Our pulmonary medicine care team presently includes six pediatric pulmonologists, pulmonary nurses, a social worker, psychologist, nutritionist and respiratory therapist. All team members are specially trained and experienced in treating children, adolescents and young adults.

The Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine department of pediatrics and its residency program are based at Children’s. All of our physicians have the opportunity to hold faculty appointments and are involved in teaching medical students and residents. Residents in pediatrics, medicine/pediatrics, family practice, child psychiatry, emergency medicine, orthopedics and surgery train at Dayton Children’s.
