Dayton Children’s Hospital is currently recruiting for a Medical Director for our Child/Adolescent Psychiatry Department. Candidates must be board certified, have 3-7 years post-fellowship experience, preferably in a leadership role, and hold an unrestricted medical license in Ohio.
• Provide leadership in the expansion of the hospital’s mental health services
• Develop consultative/educational model of psychiatric services to children and adolescents
• Develop educational programs for the hospital’s professional staff
• Staff outpatient clinics
• Supervise psychiatric residents and child psychiatry fellows from Wright State University
• Consult with referring physicians
• Provide inpatient and emergency department telephone consultation
This is an exciting opportunity to develop a child/adolescent psychiatry program in a children’s hospital. The successful candidate should possess outstanding clinical, communication and teaching skills. The candidate will work in the hospital setting as an employee of Children’s Care Group while also holding a faculty appointment at Wright State University’s Boonshoft School of Medicine in the departments of psychiatry and pediatrics. This position is fully affiliated with the psychiatry and pediatric departments and requires participation in the scholarly and pedagogic activities of both departments.
