Job description
Dayton Children's Medical Center is recruiting for a Chief Medical Information Officer to provide physician leadership to support the development of high quality and innovative clinical information systems (including the electronic patient record) that related to the delivery of healthcare to patients across Dayton Children's campuses.
This is a shared position with 50% of time dedicated to the role of CMIO and the remaining 50% dedicated to a clinical specialty needed by Dayton Children's.
The individual must have excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills; extensive working knowledge of clinical work flow and process design for both inpatient and ambulatory patients; be a strong leader in a rapidly changing environment; be able to build support among colleagues and staff for new technologists as well have the skills needed to design, implement and complete complicated projects that require collaboration and participation by multiple constituencies.
This position requires an unrestricted Ohio medical license and board eligibility/board certification as required by the professional staff privileging requirements. Practical use of the EPIC EMR and informatics training are preferred.
