Asthma is the number one reason children are admitted to Dayton Children’s. What follows are the top 10 inpatient admissions by diagnosis for the period July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011. 

1.   Asthma/bronchospasm 897
2.   Acute bronchiolitis/RSV 535
3.   Cellulitis 366
4.   Pneumonia 323
5.   Diabetes 175
6.   Recurrant urinary tract infections 169
7.   Seizure disorders/epilepsy 154
8.   Fever 140
9.   Chemotherapy 123
10. Dehydration 121

 

Upcoming Events

The Dayton Police Department and the Dayton Fire Department have teamed up with the Dayton Dragons to host “Battle of the Badges,” a charity softball game, on June 23, 2013 to benefit the CARE House. The Dragons host the Lansing Lugnuts at 4 PM that afternoon and the softball game between Dayton’s finest will follow.
