raising dough on National Pretzel Day

Auntie Anne’s® Dayton Mall location donating 100% of sales today

pretzel day

For the 16th consecutive year, Auntie Anne's Dayton Mall location is celebrating National Pretzel Day on April 26 by donating 100 percent of its pretzel and drink sales to Dayton Children’s Hospital. Since 1999, the Dayton Mall Auntie Anne’s has raised more than $101,000 for Dayton Children’s.

An annual holiday, National Pretzel Day was first declared by Congress in 1983 to celebrate the art of making pretzels – a treat that dates back to 610 A.D. – and to recognize the evolution of the pretzel industry.

To help on this holiday, Dayton Children’s ambassadors Caulin Booher and Emily Michel will both be there from 4:15-5:45 pm to hand roll pretzels. In addition, K99.1 Breakfast Club hosts Nancy and Frye stopped by at noon to lend a hand to the hard working pretzel crew. The event runs until 9:00 pm.

Auntie Anne’s, the world’s largest hand-rolled soft pretzel chain, offers an extensive menu of freshly-baked, hand-rolled pretzel products, ranging from the classic Original to sweet Almond to savory Roasted Garlic Parmesan. Guests can also pick up the portable Pretzel Nuggets, Pretzel Dog or Mini Pretzel Dogs, and pair them with a refreshing signature lemonade or fruity Lemonade Mixer.
