Media Release: New medical director of Urgent Care – Springboro

Lora Scott, MD, has joined Dayton Children’s as the medical director of Urgent Care – Springboro. For the last two years, Dr. Scott was a team physician for the University of Cincinnati Bearcats. She also provided medical coverage for several high school and middle school athletic events.

Dr. Scott received her medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine and completed her residency from the University of South Florida in Tampa. She completed her fellowship in primary care sports medicine at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

Dr. Scott is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics Council on Sports Medicine and Fitness and the Education Committee of the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine. She is board-certified in pediatrics with a certificate of added qualification in primary care sports medicine.

About Dayton Children’s Urgent Care in Springboro

Dayton Children’s Urgent Care in Springboro provides acute episodic nonemergent medical care to children from birth to 21 years of age. It is the only urgent care center staffed by pediatricians from Dayton Children’s regional pediatric trauma and emergency center. Urgent Care in located inside the Outpatient Care Center in Springboro, located off Route 741. Urgent care hours are Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. Services also offered at the Outpatient Care Center are laboratory and medical imaging and rehabilitative services such as audiology, speech, physical and occupational therapy.
