K99.1 FM Cares for Kids Radiothon November 21-23

K99.1FM’s Cares for Kids Radiothon to benefit Dayton Children’s will be broadcast live from 5:00 am on Monday, November 21, to 6:00 pm on Wednesday, November 23, in Dayton Children’s outpatient lobby.

Nancy Wilson and Frye Guy, morning-show hosts on K99.1FM, will broadcast their show live from the outpatient lobby at Dayton Children’s during the Radiothon. They will share patient stories and information about Dayton Children’s.

In 1998, the Children’s Miracle Network started the Radiothon as a fundraising opportunity for children’s hospitals. Locally, Dayton Children’s partnered with K99.1FM to organize a Radiothon for the hospital and the station has been very committed for the past 13 years. Since K99.1FM began airing the radiothon, they have raised over $2.3 million for Dayton Children’s.

This year Miss Ohio Ellen Bryan will also make a guest appearance at Radiothon on Wednesday, November 23. Bryan has been a long time supporter and volunteer at Dayton Children’s and visited patients this summer as part of her Miss Ohio bike tour.

During the past 12 years, the Radiothon has evolved into the Cares for Kids Radiothon, a three-day event the week of Thanksgiving. Listeners can donate multiple ways.
