Daniel Shover, MD has recently joined the pediatric gastroenterology department at The Children’s Medical Center of Dayton. He previously worked as a pediatric gastroenterologist at Presbyterian Medical Group in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Dr. Shover received his medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara Medical School in Mexico in 1981. He completed his pediatric internship at Northwest Community Hospital in Chicago and a residency at SUNY Health Sciences Center in Brooklyn, New York. He completed his fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition in 1990 at New York- Presbyterian Hospital/ Columbia University Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Shover is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition.
The gastroenterology and nutrition department at Dayton Children’s provides evaluation and diagnosis for infants, children and adolescents with disease involving the esophagus, stomach, intestines, pancreas and liver. In addition to providing inpatient and outpatient services, the team also conducts research in the areas of nutrition support, GI motility, and diseases of the liver and gastrointestinal tract.
