sales of Blizzards at local Dairy Queens will benefit Dayton Children’s Hospital

WHO:

Participating Dairy Queen®and DQ Grill & Chill® locations throughout the United States and Canada. Participating Dayton locations include:  Wapakoneta, Englewood, Piqua, Tipp City, Urbana, Springfield, Kettering, Huber Heights, Beavercreek, Centerville, Airway Road., Shroyer Road, South Smithville, Springboro Pike.

WHAT:

Dairy Queen will help make miracles for hospitalized children during the ninth annual Dairy Queen Miracle Treat Day, when $1 or more from every Blizzard® Treat sold will be donated to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. In addition, for every person who RSVPs via Facebook to Miracle Treat Day, the DQ® system will donate an additional $1 to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, up to $50,000. All donations collected on Miracle Treat Day stay in the communities in which they are raised to support local kids. Sales made to the above participating locations will directly benefit Dayton Children’s Hospital.

Miss Ohio, Mackenzie Bart, will help celebrate the occasion by visiting the Kettering location that day. K99.1 FM will also be there to set the beat.

The featured Miracle Treat Day “Blizzard of the Day” will be Oreo®, which is still the most popular Blizzard Treat to date. The Blizzard of the Month for August, the new Chips Ahoy!® Blizzard Treat which is a mix of Chips Ahoy! chocolate chip cookies, chocolaty topping, choco chunks and creamy vanilla soft serve, as well as all other Blizzard Treat flavors, also are available on Miracle Treat Day.

The Dairy Queen system is celebrating a 30-year partnership with CMN Hospitals, during which time local restaurants have raised more than $100 million for local hospitals.
