Media Release: New intensivist and urgent care pediatrician join Dayton Children's

Hemanth Lingadevaru, MD, MPH, pediatric intensivist, joins Dayton Children’s department of critical care medicine and pediatric intensive care unit.  Dr. Lingadevaru recently finished a fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at CS Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

 Dr. Lingadevaru received his medical degree from Dr. BR Ambedkar Medical College in Bangalore, India, and completed his pediatric residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria.  Dr. Lingadevaru has also earned a master’s degree in public health from The University of Texas, School of Public Health at Houston.
 He is board certified in pediatrics and has a special interest in sedation and analgesia.

Jeanne Bohrer, MD, joins Dayton Children’s Urgent Care in Springboro after providing care in the Soin Pediatric Trauma and Emergency Center. Dr. Bohrer has been on Dayton Children’s active staff for 20 years and is an assistant clinical professor of pediatrics at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. 

Dr. Bohrer received her medical degree from Wright State University and completed her pediatric residency at the University of California Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA. She is board certified in pediatrics and has a special interest in adolescent medicine and the special needs population.

About Dayton Children’s Urgent Care in Springboro

Dayton Children’s Urgent Care in Springboro provides acute episodic nonemergent medical care to children from birth to 21 years of age.  It is the only urgent care center staffed by pediatricians from Dayton Children’s regional pediatric trauma and emergency center.  Urgent Care in located inside the Outpatient Care Center in Springboro, located off Route 741.  Urgent care hours are Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 am to 8:00 pm.  Services also offered at the Outpatient Care Center are laboratory and medical imaging and rehabilitative services such as audiology, speech, physical and occupational therapy.  To reach Urgent Care, call 937-641-5725.

About The Wallace Critical Care Complex

The Wallace Critical Care Complex at Dayton Children’s houses the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) and the intermediate care unit (IMCU).  These units are centered on families and have a child-friendly environment to help in the healing process.  The PICU is staffed by board-certified pediatrics intensivists that are available 24 hours a day to assist in emergency stabilization of patients.  Dayton Children’s PICU was awarded the first-ever Best Practices Award from the Ohio Patient Safety institute for its innovative and evidence based practices in patient safety.  For more information or to reach an intensivist, call 937-641-5168.
