Uses:Subjects with both insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus and non-insulin dependent diabetes mellius are at increased risk of kidney damage. Diabetic nephropathy is the number one cause of need of kidney dialysis and/or kidney transplant, and is the cause of serious morbidity and mortality in diabetes mellitus. Microalbuminuria is the earliest stage of diabetic nephropathy.
