Uses:Diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the pancreas, such as acute pancreatitis and obstruction of the pancreatic duct.
Limitations:EDTA, potassium oxalate, sodium fluoride and cirtrate inhibit lipase activity. Hemolysis may increase lipase activity by 10-20%.
