Uses:LDH is an intracellular enzyme found in body tissue that is released after tissue damage. Elevations are found in cardiac diseases including MI, liver disease and lung disease. High levels occur in renal infarct, without significant elevation of SGOT, SGPT and alkaline phosphatase.
Limitations:Hemolysis may cause false elevations in LDH results.
