Uses:C4 is decreased in disseminated intravascular coagulation, acute glomerular nephritis, chronic hepatitis, and SLE. C4 is increased in acute inflammatory processes and in malignancies. Limitations:Test is not sensitive enough to pick up levels in body fluids other than serum. Measures both biologically active and inactive C4. Method:Turbidimetric
