Uses:Culture for Neisseria gonorrhoeae. The presence of other potential pathogens, including Candida, is also reported. Identification of microorganisms that may cause infection.
Limitations:Antibiotic therapy may inhibit growth. Culture is more sensitive than gram stain. Contamination with adjacent areas should be avoided.
