Uses:Aid in monitoring kidney function, fluid and electrolyte balance and acid-base balance. Renal function test useful in disorders of aldosterone secretion. Renal loss of more than 30 mEq/day in a hypokalemic hypertensive patient may indicate primary aldosteronism.
Limitations:Hemolyzed blood in urine
