Normal:Birth-1 year: 5-65 IU/L
>1 year: 5-81 IU/L
Uses:Test used in the diagnosis of pancreatitis, mumps, related to alcoholism, hyperparathyroidism peptic ulcer, fulminant viral hepatitis, certain drugs, idiopathic, and post-endoscopy.
Limitations:Lipemic specimens may result in a falsely low result. Falsely high results may be caused by renal failure.
