Glucagón

(Glucagon)

El glucagón es una hormona que eleva el nivel de glucosa (un tipo de azúcar) en la sangre. El páncreas produce el glucagón y lo libera cuando el cuerpo necesita más azúcar en la sangre para enviar a las células. Cuando un diabético tiene un nivel muy bajo de glucosa en sangre, una inyección de glucagón puede ayudarlo a aumentar el nivel rápidamente.
