grand rounds: children's grief in the medical setting

  1. Identify one or more life-stage losses that may be part of anticipatory grief in the medically-fragile child.
  2. Cite the developmental stages and reactions of grief in children.
  3. Illustrate to providers how to care for themselves as they care for dying children and their families.
