What is Giving Tuesday?
Giving Tuesday is a nationwide movement of people and organizations who celebrate giving and encourage more community support during the holiday season. It is always celebrated the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.
How is Dayton Children’s involved in #GivingTuesday?
Dayton Children’s has launched the annual #GivingTuesday Challenge. This competition runs from Black Friday through #GivingTuesday. Families, patients, community friends, and employees are invited to participate as "champions." Each champion creates a personal giving page to share their own story of why they believe in supporting Dayton Childrens. They select any department in the hospital to help and then invite friends, family and colleagues to make a donation to their giving page.
Each champion competes in the challenge to be the top fundraiser. The top finisher receives $1,000 added to their total for their selected area. The second place fundraiser receives $500 and third place gets $250. All three top fundraisers receive free bread for a year thanks to our friends from Panera!
From the 300,000 kids treated at Dayton Children's, thank you for your support!
The #GivingTuesday Challenge starts on Black Friday and continues through #GivingTuesday.
