Event: 2013 Gem City Jam & Hoopla Golf Outing (08-19-2013)

To benefit the Pediatric Cancer Care Endowment

Play golf at the world-class NCR Country Club golf course to benefit Dayton Children’s. Enjoy the Hoopla festivities featuring a dinner, special activities and guest speakers, and a wonderful silent and live auction. Best of all, you will meet and interact with several of our patients and their families. They are the reason we come together.

Proceeds from the Gem City Jam will support Dayton Children's Comprehensive Care Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. Children battling cancer have very specialized needs and Dayton Children's is one of only 11 programs in the U.S. accredited by the American College of Surgeons. Kids receive state-of-the-art medical care in a child-friendly environment. Funds will help purchase the latest technology and equipment for the hematology/oncology department as well as provide for an endowment that connects patients and families with resources for on-going care, treatment, education and support groups. The endowment will also fund a child life specialist and a social work dedicated to supporting our young cancer patients and their families. Please join us to ensure that kids fighting a fierce disease have the best care in the country. Your support is vital!

The Dayton Police Department and the Dayton Fire Department have teamed up with the Dayton Dragons to host “Battle of the Badges,” a charity softball game, on June 23, 2013 to benefit the CARE House. The Dragons host the Lansing Lugnuts at 4 PM that afternoon and the softball game between Dayton’s finest will follow.
