Clydesdales Are Coming to Town

Springfield, Ohio—This holiday season, instead of eight reindeer look for the gentle giants, the rare and beautiful World Champion Express Clydesdales.  The majestic Clydesdales of Express Employment Professionals are coming to Springfield and will take part in Springfield’s 2013 Holiday In The City celebration.  Bring the whole family for an up close encounter with some of the most awe-inspiring animals you’ll ever see.   When these magnificent horses aren’t parading through downtown pulling their holiday sleigh, they will be waiting to meet you!

The Express Clydesdales are goodwill ambassadors for Children’s Miracle Network (CMN). This is the 21st anniversary of  the Children’s Miracle Network and Express Employment Professionals partnership. During the past 20 years Express Employment Professionals has donated more than $4 million dollars to CMN. These donations helped fund state-of-the-art equipment, break through research, and charity care.

On Saturday November 30th from 1 pm to 4 pm the Clydesdales will be available for pictures on High Street between Limestone and Spring Streets in front of Clark State’s Brinkman Center. Starting at 4 pm watch these World Champions get their into their finest Six Horse Hitch holiday attire for the parade. Clydesdale merchandise will be available from 1 pm to 6 pm with proceeds benefitting CMN.   With a donation to Children’s Miracle Network, you can get an official picture taken of you or your family with one of the Clydesdales. Each photograph will have a commemorative border, perfect for a unique family Christmas card.

Every dollar raised for Children’s Miracle Network helps save the lives of children in our own region by benefiting kids at Dayton Children’s Hospital. One of those children is Springfield native, Kristopher Rodgers.  Kristopher has been living with a diagnosis of cystic fibrosis (CF) since he was six-months old. As a young child Kristopher spent many days as an inpatient at Dayton Children’s but today has gone seven years without having to be admitted. Kristopher has matured quickly and with the help of the pulmonary clinic of Dayton Children’s has learned how to manage and perform treatments for his CF.

To be part of more success stories like Kristopher’s, come to the Holiday in the City celebration on Saturday, November 30th for a day of fun, food and holiday cheer for the whole family.  Have fun and do good, the perfect beginning to the holiday season.
