The physical therapy department specializes in evaluating and treating problems related to mobility, strength, coordination, balance, flexibility, pain and developmental concerns.

  • Cerebral palsy
  • Spina bifida

  • Orthopedic injuries in children less than 13 years of age

  • Family teaching
  • Jobst (pressure) garment fittings
  • Adaptive equipment clinic
    • Children are evaluated for wheeled mobility/equipment needs by OT and/or PT and an equipment vendor. Referral: The program requires a prescription from the child's physician stating "Evaluate for equipment needs."
  • Sensory integration
    • The purpose of this treatment is to improve the child's ability to process and integrate sensory information from the vestibular, proprioceptive and tactile receptors.

Upcoming Events

The Dayton Police Department and the Dayton Fire Department have teamed up with the Dayton Dragons to host “Battle of the Badges,” a charity softball game, on June 23, 2013 to benefit the CARE House. The Dragons host the Lansing Lugnuts at 4 PM that afternoon and the softball game between Dayton’s finest will follow.
