Individual classes and courses are available to help health professionals gain skills in management, customer service, quality and much more. Classes are regularly scheduled at the hospital and can be provided onsite in physician offices or other sites for a fee.

The staff includes nurses and organizational development personnel with skills in team building, facilitation, pediatric nursing and computer-based training. Clinicians with specialties in areas such as gastroenterology, infection control, pulmonary care and diabetes management are available to speak to groups. Self-study packets also are available on a number of topics including information management, child abuse, workplace violence and more. The corporate education department coordinates several conferences. This includes a biennial Pediatric Nursing Conference. Nurses can earn approximately 15 contact hours by attending this two-day presentation.
The Pediatric Advanced Life Support Program (PALS) also is coordinated by the corporate education staff.
The corporate education department has been approved by the Ohio Nurses' Association to review continuing education credit (contact hours) for educational programs for registered nurses and LPNs. Numerous one- and two-day programs are provided for ease of obtaining continuing education on pediatric topics and nursing issues.
Clinical Education
The nursing education staff includes both educators and clinicians. The educators conduct inservice and continuing education programs on numerous topics and are available for specific outreach presentations. Nurse clinicians are registered nurses assigned to specialty areas that include endocrinology, neurology, infectious disease, gastroenterology and pulmonary care.
