Pulmonary Medicine

The division of pulmonary medicine provides inpatient and outpatient care for infants, children and teens with a variety of respiratory problems and is home to the accredited Regional Cystic Fibrosis Center. Pediatric pulmonologists are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to address urgent patient care needs.

Manages the care of children requiring home ventilators
Manages the care of infants requiring home apnea monitoring

Services Available

Pulmonary function laboratory with spirometry, plethysmography and diffusion capacity
Sleep laboratory with polysomnography and multiple sleep latency testing
Five-channel somnograms to evaluate infants for sleep apnea or airway obstruction
Exercise testing laboratory
Fiberobtic bronchoscopy to diagnose airway obstruction and other anomalies of the respiratory tract
Education programs for children with asthma and their parents
Smoking cessation programs for teens and adults; CPR instruction (education programs)
