CARE House is a children's advocacy center that is a centralized, child-oriented facility for child interviews, multidisciplinary investigative team consultations and treatment services for child abuse victims. CARE House involves a partnership between Dayton Children's, Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office, Dayton Police Department, Montgomery County Sheriff's Office and Montgomery County Children Services. Note: Physicians are required by state law to report suspected child abuse or neglect. Referrals to the CARE clinic in such cases also require a report to the appropriate child protection services agency. Patients enrolled in managed care insurance plans may need authorization from their primary care physician.
