When your patient needs surgery, you want the most advanced care available. The pediatric specialists at Dayton Children's and its advanced surgery complex have set the standard for pediatric surgical care in the region.
Day surgery patient rooms offer privacy (all private rooms) and the comforts of home--TV, DVD, computer game systems and more. Children are encouraged to bring video games, DVDs, a favorite stuffed animal or other item to make them feel more comfortable.
Anxiety before surgery affects recovery. Presurgery tours help lessen a child's anxiety about an upcoming surgery.
- Tours are held twice weekly--Mondays and Wednesdays--at 7:00 pm. No reservation is needed for the one-hour tour. Note: Tours are not held on major holidays or the evening before a major holiday.
