Dr. Abdurrahman far exceeded all of my extremely high expectations. During an unrelated trip to our local emergency room for my 14 y/o daughter, the doctor saw a congenital heart abnormality in her CT scan. When anything goes wrong with your child it's nerve-racking, but when you hear the words "CONGENITAL HEART ABNORMALITY", it's hard not to be terrified. We were referred to cardiology at Dayton children's hospital, & to my surprise & relief , we were able to get an appointment with their chief of cardiology (Dr. Abdurrahman) within just a couple days. Upon our arrival, we were promptly greeted by a very friendly & professional nurse who told us that my daughter was there "most important patient today". Now, maybe they say that to everyone, but it was very reassuring to hear, whether it was actually true or not. After the nurse finished verifying my daughter's medical history, & checking her vital signs, Dr. Abdurrahman came into the room a few short minutes later. She was extremely professional, yet caring, kind, & even funny, which definitely made us feel more at ease. After asking some questions, she explained what my daughter's not so terrifying heart abnormality was, it's potential complications, & exactly what tests they were going to do. After performing an EKG, & an echocardiogram, Dr. Abdurrahman promptly returned to the room & explained the results of the testing in a way that was concise, yet easy to understand. In our case, we were extremely lucky that we not only "don't need our (Dr. Abdurrahman's) services", but to have had the services of a doctor as amazing as her in the first place. I could not be any happier about every aspect of our experience at Dayton children's hospital, & my most sincere gratitude goes out to their incredible staff, & the incredible Dr. Abdurrahman???
