I was told to go to lab to have my child's blood drawn prior the appt. I was told this by Dr. Dole when my child was admitted in the hospital and then when the lady called to set up my child's appt with Dr. Dole. So before our appt, I stopped by the lab with my child. They said they had no orders for labs. The guy in lab registration called Dr. Dole's office, and they said if they needed blood, they would draw it at the appt. So we went to our appt. I told the nurse this. She said she would talk with Dr. Dole. Dr. Dole wanted labs. So the nurse and assistant drew the blood in the exam room before seeing Dr. Dole. We then saw Dr. Dole. Dr. Dole didn't have our labs back. So we had to wait maybe 10 min in the exam room after seeing Dr. Dole for our labs to come back. Then the nurse gave us our labs verbally and a copy of them. We then left. It's just frustrating to show up early for labs and then there isn't even an order for them. We were told by 2 people (one being the doctor!) to come early and go to lab for the blood draw. And then the doctor didn't have our labs back when he was seeing us. We then had to wait a bit for them to come back when the doctor was done seeing us. All frustrating and annoying.
