Sherman Alter, MD, serves as medical director of the infectious disease department at Dayton Children’s. He received his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed his fellowship in infectious disease at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
Dr. Alter is an associate clinical professor of pediatrics at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. He is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric infectious disease. Dr. Alter was named to the Best Doctors in America list in 2007-2008.
Dr. Alter can be interviewed on anything related to prevention and symptoms of infectious diseases. This includes but is not limited to:
- The flu
- Vaccines/immunizations
- Whooping cough
- Bacterial infections
