Question: I don't have a health plan at the moment and my son is going to college in a few days and it is required that incoming students get vaccinated for meningococcal. I was wondering if they do this at Dayton Childrens, or if someone could redirect me to a clinic that does this. I was also wondering how much would it be to get my son vaccinated?

Answer: The best way to get this done is to have your son go to the COMBINED HEALTH DISTRICT, MONTGOMERY COUNTY downtown, where they have free immunizations through the Vaccine for Children (VFC). Medicaid and self-pay, I believe qualify. Those with private insurances are on a sliding scale.Call the main number at 937-225-4550. Location is Reibold Building, 117 S. Main St., Dayton 45422.
